In Riverside, California, the Mission Inn is a historic landmark, dating back to the late 19th century. The site has undergone a number of renovations and ownerships over the years. However, in 1992 the inn was re-opened in its current state as the Mission Inn Hotel & Spa-a classy resort featuring 239 guestrooms and suites, a museum, full-service spa and four fine-dining restaurants.
Duane's Prime Steaks and Seafood Restaurant
According to the Mission Inn website, Duane's Prime Steaks and Seafood Restaurant is the area's "only AAA Four Diamond restaurant." This classy restaurant opens only for dinner and offers a number of high-quality steaks, lamb, shrimp, lobster and other seafood entrées, starting at around $25. Starting at $54, the restaurant also serves unique, "prix fixe," three-course meals each month. Duane's open from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The restaurant only opens on Sundays for weekly champagne brunches, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Also, an on-site bar area, serving wine, sushi and tapas, opens at 4 p.m. every evening except Sunday. A minimum of business-casual attire is required to dine at Duane's main dining room and bar area.

Much less intimidating and expensive than Duane's, Mission Inn Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner most days of the week; the only exception occurs on Sundays, when lunch is replaced by Sunday champagne brunch. For breakfast, the restaurant serves a wide variety of omelet, pancake, waffle, cereal and fruit dishes. For lunch, Mission Inn Restaurant offers a traditional menu with salad, pasta, steak, seafood, sandwich and burger dishes, as well as a buffet with all kinds of food. Dinner brings a much more fine-dining menu with a relatively limited choice of high-quality salad, steaks, chicken and seafood. Mission Inn Restaurant also features an all-inclusive meal and guided tour, named "Experience History Under the Stars," for $44.
