Payson has a number of RV parks to choose from
Payson is located approximately 90 miles from Phoenix. It is situated among the mountains of the Mogollon Rim and between the Sierra Ancha and the Mazatzal Mountain Ranges. The town is surrounded by Tonto National Forest and sits at 5,000 feet above sea level. The area is known for an abundance of recreational opportunities. Payson hosts a downtown district rich in Western heritage; the world's oldest continuous rodeo is here, as well as numerous boutiques, art galleries and local restaurants. There are a number of RV parks and campgrounds in Payson.
Ox Bow Estates RV Park
Ox Bow Estates RV Park is located approximately three miles south of Payson. It has 47 sites with full hookups (30- or 50-amp), including cable TV and phone, that can accommodate RVs up to 45 feet. Each site has a fire ring and picnic table. The park features vending machines, propane sales, laundry facilities, restrooms with showers a recreation room and a dump station.

Payson Campground & RV Resort
Payson Campground & RV Resort is located approximately two miles northeast of downtown Payson. It has 80 sites with full hookups (30- or 50-amp) and features restrooms with showers, laundry facilities, Wi-Fi, a clubhouse, a seasonal swimming pool and sun deck, a playground and a basketball hoop. The resort also has a dump station, and allows pets. Tent sites with no hookups are also available.

Tonto National Forest -- Ponderosa Campground
The Ponderosa Campground in the Tonto National Forest is located approximately 12 miles northeast of Payson. Open April 15 through October 31, it features 61 RV and tent campsites under a thick canopy of pines. There no hookups at the RV sites. It has drinking water available, vault toilets, a dump station and each campsite has a picnic table and cooking grill. The campground offers access to the Abert nature trail.
