"
SmallWorlds" is an online social gaming community with an exclusive mission feature that allows you to create interactive stories or puzzles consisting of a set of tasks. Teleporting is an important aspect of missions, as it allows the creator to move another player's avatar to specific locations automatically. By setting up portal doors, you can direct the avatar to arrive at a specific entry point within your mission space. This technique is especially useful when a space is divided into sections that represent different parts of the mission's story.
Instructions
Create Entry Points
1. Insert a portal door at the desired location in your mission space. Click the door and select the wrench icon. Open the "Settings" menu.
2. Look up the name of your mission space in the "Search Spaces" text box. Select the thumbnail image of your space from the search results. It should now appear as a linked space in the right sidebar.
3. Click to select the check box at the bottom of the menu to enable the entry point feature. Type a name for the entry point, and then save your settings.
Teleport Within One Space
4. Create a reaction to trigger the teleport. Click the object you intend to use. Select the wrench icon and open the "Interactions" interface. Switch to the "Reactions" tab.
5. Click "Add" to insert a new reaction. Choose an appropriate trigger from the "React When" drop-down list. The trigger is an action the avatar is required to perform to initiate the teleport. Common triggers include typing a given phrase or using a specified emote.
6. Click the drop-down list in the "Reaction" section and select "Teleport Avatar." Click the "Set Destination" button and search for the name of the space you are currently in. Select the entry point you created earlier from the list at the bottom of the menu. Save the settings.
7. Set a delay on the teleport reaction if necessary by typing the appropriate numeral in the delay field. The delay is measured in seconds. Save these settings when you are finished.
8. Test your teleport by performing the trigger action. As long as no code or artifact conditions are set on the reaction, the teleport should work. Codes and artifacts act as keys, preventing an avatar from triggering a reaction until that avatar has fulfilled a set of conditions.
