Make A Paint Shaker

Shake your paint without exertion.


Hobbies and projects that require painting generally include the process of preparing the paint for application by stirring, mixing or shaking the pigmented liquid. One minute of shaking a bottle of paint can feel like an eternity when your wrist is cramping up. Instructions


1. Obtain a functioning electric knife. These can frequently be found at garage sales and thrift stores for less than a few dollars.


2. Trim one of the blades to approximately 4 inches with a hack saw.


3. Dull the sharp edges of the shortened blade with a file.


4. Fasten a large empty pill bottle to the end of the shortened blade using several inches of duct tape.


5. Insert the blade contraption into the handle of the electric knife.


6. Place two BBs into the paint container you wish to mix.


7. Position the paint container inside of the pill bottle and fasten the lid. You can add some cotton to cushion the paint container.


8. Plug in the electric knife and turn it on to shake and mix your paint.
