Use A Water Bottle To Train Your Dogs

It can be hard to train your dog. You might not know everything there is to know about dogs, but you probably know more than you think that you do. Training your dog with a water bottle or a squirt bottle might never have occurred to you, but it is something that is quite simple to do.

Instructions

Water Training

1. Decide on the behaviors that you would like to train your dog out of. This type of training is for behaviors that you would not like them to do, such as barking or digging or jumping up on a person.

2. Outfit yourself and every room in your house with a training spray bottle. Make sure that it is filled with clean water that is room temperature. Also make sure that the nozzle is turned to the strongest stream feature, not the mist feature.

3. Pay close attention to your dog and his behavior.

4. When your dog does something that you do not want him to do, say "No" very sharply, and in a low-toned voice.

5. If he continues to do it, squirt him in the face or rump with the squirt bottle. Start with one squirt of water.

6. Continue to say "no" and squirt your dog until she stops the behavior.

7. Immediately put down the squirt bottle and call your dog to you.

8. Praise your dog for coming to you, and continue about your business.
