Sell A Small Amount Of Gold

Small amounts of gold can be sold for cash.

If you have a small amount of gold, or gold jewelry lying around that you are no longer interested in, you may want to sell it for cash. You won't get rich, but you will have a little bit of spending cash, not to mention that you would have gotten rid of something that was just collecting dust in your home. But make sure you don't get scammed.

Instructions

1. Call the local jewelry shops in your area. They often offer a decent amount of cash for your gold. Once you find jewelry shops that are accepting gold, take your gold to two or three of them and sell it to the highest bidder.

2. Sell your gold to a pawn shop. Pawn shops won't pay as much as jewelry store owners, but they will pay you quickly.

3. Search your local newspaper for companies advertising that they pay cash for gold. Give the advertiser a call and set up a meeting time to have your gold looked at. If the price is right, take it.

4. Use a website such as Cash 4 Gold (see Resources) to sell your small amount of gold. All you have to do is fill in a short form and wait for an envelope to come in the mail. Place your gold inside the envelope and mail it back. Once the company looks over your gold, it will mail you a check for its appraised worth.
