You can find old stained glass windows at antique stores or from online retailers. You can also have stained glass panels custom-designed and made by local stained glass artists. It's easy to make your own wall of water with acrylic sheeting that runs from the floor to the ceiling and a reservoir made from a planter or a pond liner. The mechanics of the water wall are simple - stand the acrylic panel in your reservoir, prop it against a wall and fill the reservoir with water. Add a waterfall pump with tubing that runs to the top of your panel, spilling water over the face of the rocks or tiles. Place teak or bamboo furniture and meditation cushions to emphasize the Zen feel of your sunroom. Place tall and small plants throughout the space, along with two or three more tabletop fountains to complete the oasis theme.
Asian
Low-slung furniture made from dark hardwoods, combined with intricate silk wall tapestries, will add an Asian flair to your sunroom. Incorporate nature into your design with an oversized coffee table, complete with a sandy garden in the center and real grass around the perimeter. Place a low-to-the-ground dining table off to one side and thick, colorful floor cushions for seating.
