Santa Barbara Rv Resorts

Santa Barbara is a beautiful city on the California coast. Home to a major university, Santa Barbara offers visitors a wealth of cuisines, a myriad of concerts and festivals, outdoor activities and shopping, all with a stellar view of the Pacific Ocean. Because it is such a tourist's delight, lodging in Santa Barbara can be expensive. One way to mitigate the cost is to stay at a RV resort near the city.

Cachuma Lake Recreation Area

Located 18 miles from Santa Barbara, this county-run recreation area sits on the beautiful Cachuma Lake and is surrounded by both the San Rafael and Santa Ynez Mountains. At the campsite, visitors may enjoy boating, mountain hikes, fishing and gorgeous vistas. Reviewers at RVParkReviews.com praise the clean facilities and courteous staff at the park, and they find the location to be idyllic, while also conveniently close to downtown Santa Barbara.

But online reviewers at RVParks.com, Yahoo!Travel and Yelp.com have been disappointed with the traffic noise, the surrounding neighborhood and the poor facilities.
