Kill Recurring Ants

Ants are nuisance

Although most ants are harmless, they are seen as pests and a nuisance because they get in places where you store food and drinks and can damage the structure of your house. Most people think ants are easy to kill and get rid off. Sure enough, they are easy to kill in view because of their size, but in reality, ant problems at home can be frustrating. You kill dozens of them in sight thinking they're completely gone but hundreds will show up later, day after day. If you know the correct method to get rid of them, then you'll have fewer frustrations. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Ant nest

Focus on finding out where the ants are coming into your house. Remember that seeing ants crawling signals a strong possibility that there is a nest nearby that holds thousands of ants.

2. Destroy the ant colony by using a bait they will take back to their hidden nest and feed to the rest of the ants in the colony. Liquid baits and ant-control bait stations can both be used for this purpose.

3. Spray the outside perimeter of your home with an ant killer that contains bifenthrin, deltamethrin or permethrin. Make sure that you read the instructions on the label before applying.

4. Eliminate sources of food for the ants. Vacuum the floors and clean crumbs up from counters and tables. Throw out your trash regularly. If you leave food or any food particles lying around without sealing it, ants will keep coming back. Ants leave a scent back to their nest so others can follow the trail to the food source
