Heated Floor
A heated floor may sound like a luxury, but if you live in an area that has cold winters, then a heated floor may be a necessity in preventing your floor tiles from cracking and your pipes from freezing. There are many different ways to install a heated floor including using heated floor tiles, installing a mesh heating system under the floor or installing baseboard heating along the floor perimeter. Natural Light
You can save money on electricity by opening up your kitchen to more natural light. One way to get more natural light into your kitchen is to install larger windows or more windows in the kitchen. You can also open up the kitchen to the rest of the house by removing some of the walls that separate the kitchen from other rooms that have large picture windows, thus allowing more natural light to enter.
