Create a theme in your bathroom so that the decor flows visually. Choose accessories that have scenes or prints with cacti, pottery, dream catchers, Kachina dolls or Mexican hats to reflect the various Native American, Mexican or Spanish influences.
Southwestern Colors
Warm colors help create an earthy ambience in Southwestern bathrooms. Sunset shades and colors found in nature, such as Taos blue -- a mixture of violet and sky blue -- turquoise, copper, orange, taupe, yellow, red, apricot and sage green all work well in this decorating style.
