Located in Sacramento County, California, the city of Folsom is best known for housing the state prison, which was established in 1880. The city is also home to technology companies, more than 40 artisan studios and 60 antique dealers. Its historic district includes a powerhouse built in 1895. Mama Ann's offers a wide selection of hot and cold sandwiches and East Coast-style pizza by the pie or slice. The restaurant offers a private room that holds 20 people with a large flat-screen television available for audio and video presentations.


Strings Italian Cafe


Strings Italian Cafe offers a variety of affordable Italian dishes, including seafood, veal, poultry and pasta. Scampi and steamed mussels highlight the selection of appetizers, a fisherman's stew among the seafood offerings. Chicken is available prepared in a number of ways including scallopini and picatta. Among the house specialties are baby clams cioppino, shrimp and sausage fusilli, fettucini Milano and pasta Siena.


Roma's Pizzeria III


Located in the Briggs Ranch Shopping Center, Roma's Pizzeria III offers fresh, authentic Italian food served in a family-style setting. Roma's traces its roots in California to 1973 when the first outlet opened in Sacramento. The restaurant is operated by the Guerrera family, which came to the U.S. in the late 1960s from Carlantino, Italy, a small town near Rome. All three Roma's Pizzerias are still run by members of the family.
