Instructions

Importing the Song File

1. Download Windows Movie Maker (WMM), or any video editing software, to your desktop.

2. Choose a song that you want to use in your video. The more unique the song, the less copyrighting infringements you have to worry about.

3. Download, or place, your chosen song file onto your desktop. This will make it quicker to find when you are importing it into WMM.

4. Open the WMM program.

5. Click "Import audio or music" button located beneath the "Capture Video" category in the WMM window.

6. Locate your song file on your desktop and click "Import." Your song file will now appear at the top of the WMM window.

7. Click and drag your song file into the "Audio/Music" bar located under the "Show Storyboard" time line near the bottom of the WMM window.

8. Push the file all the way to the left in the "Audio/Music" bar. Your song is now linked into your video.

Recording the Lyrics

9. Download the Hypercam recorder, or any recorder, to your desktop.

10. Open Google and type your song title into the Google search box to find the lyrics. Look for exact lyrics to the entire song because you will be typing everything on Club Penguin.

11. Open the Club Penguin homepage and log into your account. Try to find a server that does not have a lot of penguins online, so your attention is solely on making this music video.

12. Open Hypercam after download is complete.

13. Click "Select Region" button located under the "Screen Area" in the Hypercam window. Select the amount of region you want, which is a square around your penguin.

14. Type in the first line of your song lyrics into the chat box. Do not push "Enter" yet until you push the "Record" (F2) button.

15. Hit F2 to start recording then hit "Enter" to submit what you just typed in the chat box. You can press F2 to start and stop all recording.

16. Hit F2 again after the speech bubble disappears. The clip will automatically be saved into your "Documents" folder on your computer.

17.Repeat the lyric typing and song recording process until your entire song has been recorded. Each lyric line will equal a new clip in your "Documents" folder.

Importing the Lyrics

18. Re-open the WMM window with the already imported song file in place.

19. Click the "Import Video" button located under the "Capture Video" section.

20. Click on the first clip video and press "Import." Your first clip will now appear in the WMM window. Do one clip at a time to eliminate importing the same clip twice.

21. Drag the clip into the "Video" bar located under the "Show Storyboard" time line.

22. Repeat this process until all your clips are imported and located in the "Video" bar. You can crop each clip by dragging the sides of clip bigger or smaller.

23. Click the "Make titles or credits" located under the "Edit Movie" category after you have imported and cropped all your clips.

24. Personalize the type/color of type, place music credits, and add effects to get really creative. When finished, be sure to check and re-check your video to make sure it looks right.

25. Click "Save" to finalize your video. You are free to upload and post this video anywhere.
