Texas Twister Events

The Texas Twister features fresh juice, as well as secret ingredients.

The Texas Twister Drink is a natural fruit drink sold by a small business of the same name. The company markets itself by selling the drink at concerts, fairs and other events throughout the U.S. The Texas Twister consists of freshly sliced, hand-squeezed oranges, limes, cherry and lemons and a "secret recipe" base; the drink is non-alcoholic, iced and served in a 32-oz. cup, a "small" to Texans, according to Texas Twister Drink. It was created in Texas in 1996 and is "not too sweet, not too tart, but just right," reports the drink's website. A number of events are held in January each year that reflect the drink's frequency at fairs, shows and festivals.

Havasu Island Balloon Festival and Fair

Texas Twister sells the Texas Twister Drink at the annual Havasu Island Balloon Festival and Fair in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. The festival takes place each year in late January. Visitors ride carnival rides and stay to watch the hot air balloons fire up their "engines" and glow in the evening twilight. Festival-goers meet the balloon pilots and attend nightly concerts. The Texas Twister Company operates as a vendor at this fair as of 2011. The four-day festival also serves up food, beer, souvenirs, tethered balloon rides and arts and crafts.

Spirit of Yuma Military Festival

The Texas Twister Drink is also sold at the Spirit of Yuma Military Festival at the Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma, Arizona. The two-day, weekend festival is held in late January at the Quartermaster Depot in downtown Yuma. Spectators watch displays by the Yuma Army Proving Ground and other military groups. Vendors include the Texas Twisters company, who serve their treats. Fly Field was established in Yuma County in 1928 and was a training ground for World War II pilots in 1943. It became a Marine air station in 1959.

Agri-County Bluegrass Festival

The Texas Twister is served at the annual Agri-County Bluegrass Festival in Casa Grande, Arizona. The day-long festival is held in late January at the Pinal County Fairgrounds. The festival, which turned 25 in 2010, mixes traditional and modern bluegrass music. Previous bluegrass and "newgrass" performers have included The Hillbenders, Hey Boyz, Digger Davis and Tombstone and the Headline Bluegrass Band.

The Peddler Show

The Texas Twister Drink is sold at The Peddler Show, which is a traveling shopping experience that showcases hand-crafted jewelry, clothing, food, gifts and home decor. The Peddler Show operates 25 different shows annually throughout Texas in cities such as Corpus Christi, Amarillo and Irving. Shoppers can sign up for notifications of upcoming shows, and artisans and vendors can apply to sell through the show through an online application.
