Load A Craftsman Line Trimmer

The line on a Craftsman lawn trimmer needs to be loaded properly for the cutting head to spin and for extra line to feed out. This line is held against a spool that spins inside the head. If the line is too loose or loaded improperly, it will jam up on the spool and fuse together. If you notice the line has stopped spinning properly, shut the trimmer off and fix the line immediately to prevent damage to the cutting head. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Turn off the Craftsman's engine before loading more line into the trimmer. Flip the trimmer upside down to load the new line.

2. Insert the ends of both lines into the holes on the rim of the cutting head, just below the top plate. Push the lines through until they pop out of the positioning tunnel holes.

3. Pull the lines tight against the spool and make sure they are fully extended out of the positioning tunnel. Check to make sure that both lines are equal in length; unequal lines will not spin properly.
