Things To Do In San Francisco Indoors

San Francisco has lots of things to do outdoors, but if you are visiting or a local, be sure to check out what is going on inside. The city has plenty of cultural activities that take place inside four walls and are just as intriguing as the ocean or trolley cars that run through the city streets.

San Francisco Opera

For a one-of-a-kind experience, visit one of the nation's largest opera companies, second only to New York's Metropolitan Opera. The San Francisco Opera opened in 1923 and continues to wow audiences with spectacular performances from some of the most talented opera stars. Each year, the company puts on around 75 performances of 10 different operas between September and July. If you can swing it, attend the Opening Night Gala, as it is said to be one of the most memorable events by seasoned opera patrons.
