Every business starts with a plan and every plan starts with a concept.
You have chosen your business and now it is time to lay out a plan. The first part of your business plan is writing the business concept. A concept is like the cover letter of your business plan. You need to explain what you do, who will be your potential clients and why you can accomplish your goals above your competition. Once you have figured out the answers to these questions it is time to draft your business concept.
Instructions
1. Determine the nature of your business. Figure out the exact industry where your idea fits best. Research online to learn every aspect of your new business. Keep detailed research notes on your computer for future reference.
2. Record in detail what your business involves. Tell how your business will operate to accomplish its goals. Describe exactly what your business will do for your clients or customers.
3. Describe your company's product(s) or service(s). Explain every aspect of what you intend to sell. Lay out the facts on how you will obtain materials, produce products and ship your goods, as well as how you will train employees to perform the services you offer.
4. Explain your qualifications in your chosen field. Write down every bit of training, education and on-the-job experience that you have in this field. Tell why you are better qualified than your competitors to provide these products and services.
5. Streamline your writing into a page or two that will be used as an introduction to your entire business plan which will lay out all of the specifics. Wait for 24 hours and read your business concept again. Find all of the typos, grammatical errors and all of the places your manuscript just does not flow. Fix any errors and continue with your business plan.
