Write A Logo Concept Statement

Having a concept board where you can write and scratch off ideas is good for the brainstorming process.

A logo represents a company or a product. It needs to be eye-catching, innovative and make sense when paired with the company or product. A logo concept statement is a concise statement that explains the relevance of the logo to the company or product associated with it. The statement must also be descriptive and memorable. Before you begin writing the statement, get a thorough understanding of the company or product and the logo being connected with it. This includes the company or product's history, purpose and mission statement if there is one.

Instructions

1. List adjectives that can be associated with the logo and the company or product.

2. Write out statements that are one to two sentences long that use the adjectives you listed. Make sure that these are as creative and unique as possible.

3. Read over the list of statements you have written. Which ones stick out, which ones are the catchiest? Choose the top three statements.

4. Bring in a group of five people and have them vote on which statement they think is the most memorable, unique and appropriate. The winner is the final logo concept statement
