Take Apart A Lazboy Recliner

Take apart your La-Z-Boy recliner to make repairs.

La-Z-Boy recliners provide a comfortable furniture option for those who enjoy watching television and relaxing. In general, La-Z-Boy recliners work properly and require minimal maintenance. Occasionally, however, a La-Z-Boy can fall victim to a defect. In order to attempt to repair a La-Z-Boy, you first have to take it apart. Luckily, you can disassemble a La-Z-Boy with relative ease. This way, you can attempt the repairs on your own before hiring a furniture repair specialist. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Lay the La-Z-Boy down on the ground with the bottom of the chair exposed. Locate the pins holding the La-Z-Boy together. You can find the pins next to a black metal arm next to each edge under the chair. A screw holds the pins in place.

2. Remove the screws holding the pins in place using a screwdriver, then pull each pin out with your hand. Lift up the front of the seat; the pins were previously holding this part of the La-Z-Boy in place.

3. Remove the screws holding the back of the La-Z-Boy in place. You will have exposed these screws when you previously lifted the front off the La-Z-Boy. Now you can separate the parts of your chair. You have successfully disassembled the La-Z-Boy.
