Wall-mount headboards come in many shapes and colors.
Headboards come in a large variety of shapes and sizes. Most headboards are bolted directly to the bottom of the bed frame with bolts. However, wall-mount headboards can be difficult or confusing for some homeowners to install because they go directly on the wall and are not attached to the bed in any way. Flush-mount brackets help to make the installation easy. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
1. Find the studs in the wall with an electronic stud finder. Mark each stud on the wall with a pencil. The headboard brackets must be installed directly into the studs of the wall for the headboard to be sturdy.
2. Determine the placement of the flush-mount brackets. Try to space them as wide as possible in the area where the headboard will be installed. Mark the screw holes in the brackets with a pencil and remove the brackets from the wall.
3. Drill pilot holes into the wall studs with a drill and drill bit. Locate the pilot holes on the marked screw holes for the brackets. Place the brackets on the wall and screw them into place.
4. Line up the other side of the flush-mount brackets on the back of the headboard with the wall brackets. Create pilot holes for the screws, then screw the brackets into place.
5. Lift the headboard into place. Line up the brackets and gently slide the brackets together.
