Use A Memory Foam Topper On A Sofa Sleeper

Sleeper sofas can be very convenient for unexpected overnight guests or nights spent on the couch, but sleeper sofas aren't always the most comfortable options for a good night's rest. Using a memory foam mattress topper on your sleeper sofa may help to increase your comfort level greatly. If you are wondering exactly use a memory foam topper on a sleeper sofa, know that it is very simple. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Purchase the correct size memory foam topper. Most sleeper sofas are the size of a full bed, so you will need a memory foam topper that fits a full bed. Specifically measure the dimensions of the mattress on your sleeper sofa to ensure you get the correct size. A twin bed is 39x75 inches; a full bed is 54x75 inches; a queen bed is 60x80 inches; a king bed is 76x80 inches; and a California king bed is 72x84 inches.

2. Unfold your sleeper sofa. The memory foam topper must be put on and taken off each time you unfold your sleeper sofa in most cases; otherwise your sofa may not close properly since the mattress will be bulkier. Test this to determine whether the sofa opens and closes properly with the topper on just to be sure.

3. Place the memory foam topper on top of the mattress, centering it so that it fits properly and does not hang over the edge on either side. If you measured properly and selected the right size, this should be easy.

4. Put your mattress cover (if you have one) or sheets on the bed over the top of the memory foam topper. The sheets or mattress cover will hold the topper in place, and you will be ready for a good night's sleep.
