Re-purpose teacups and saucers to make a unique craft.
If you have a few extra teacups and saucers that you are not using at your house -- or you have picked up random cups and saucers from your local thrift store -- you can use them to make creative and useful crafts. You just need a little hot glue and a free afternoon.
Instructions
Beaded Cup
1. Load a glue stick in your hot glue gun and plug the gun into a power outlet.
2. Squeeze a dot of glue onto a button or bead, and glue it onto the cup. Continue this process until the entire cup is covered. You also can make a border around a cup that is a solid color.
3. Allow the glue to harden before using or displaying. You will need to hand wash this cup if you use it for drinking.
Jewelry Holder
4. Squeeze hot glue onto the rim of a candlestick that has a base, such as a pedestal candlestick. Immediately press a decorative saucer on top of the candlestick. Allow the glue to harden.
5. Squeeze a quarter-size amount of hot glue into the middle of the saucer. Press the rim of another pedestal candlestick holder (the candlestick holder now will be upside down) into the glue. Allow the glue to harden.
6. Squeeze hot glue onto the bottom of the pedestal candlestick holder (it is glued upside down onto the first saucer). Place the second saucer in the glue. Allow the glue to harden. Fill the saucers with jewelry, such as rings and earrings.
